Coach Callysta has been teaching swim lessons for nearly a decade, working with students of all ages and skill levels—from young beginners learning water safety to competitive athletes refining advanced techniques.

A lifelong swimmer, Callysta began lessons as a child before joining the Hempfield Aqua Club. She later competed on the Hempfield Area High School Varsity Swim Team, serving as team captain her senior year, and continued her athletic career at Saint Vincent College. Throughout her competitive years, she earned recognition as Hardest Worker three times, Most Improved as a freshman, qualified for the WPIAL Championship Meet in three of her four high school seasons, and in her college years she placed second in finals for the 100 butterfly in her PACs Championship Meet.

In 2020, Callysta was honored with the Silver Presidential Volunteer Service Award for completing 175–249 hours of community service. Her dedication to both sport and service reflects her commitment to fostering discipline, perseverance, and a love of swimming in her students.

Currently, she works as a coach for Fayetteville Aquatic Swim Team (FAST) Bronze and Silver levels.

Outside the pool, Callysta enjoys reading and writing with her local writing club, staying active through regular exercise, and discovering new music.
